Looking Out My Window...What do I see?

I look outside of my window and I see the typical thing for this area. Small cars to save money on gas. Hydro seed to save time of growing a lawn. Cheap dog food to save the brain space to learn what really to feed a dog. Everyone is just trying to save things. But why? Why is money so important that people would give up the car they longed to buy? Why is time so precious that people miss out on the surprises and joys of growing their own lawn and flowers? Why are people so ignorant that they don't even bother learning how to properly take care of a pet? Why are these reasons to try and save as much of everything as we can?
Love, frienship, family, God... people can be so quick to sell out on those things. So quick.. It happens all the time with people that I know, friends, family even. Heck, I've done it myself. By why do we sell out on the things that are truly important? Why?

  1. I like it.
It made me stop to think about things, and also made me want to go out and plant a garden, or at least a flower.

  2. I feel like your on to an interesting piece here...but I feel you should continue writing. Is this just a random observation, thats just going to be followed by other observations (meaning, will this blog act like a diary or an outlet for miscellaneous thoughts)? Like what is the goal with this blog?

Off topic, if you're into publicizing your thoughts to generate conversation, I think you'll have a lot of fun with this blog. You can post pictures or music or what-not to add to your posts too...so yea, cool idea.

This btw is Christian from New York. I'm friends with Randi an David Wong...I said that you looked like someone we hated, lol.

  3. Well, Jessi, everyone needs someone like this.
For now, it can be me!
You need to flesh out the idea a bit more, as Christian said. You can't just say one thought, and leave it like that. It should be more of an essay.

Make me want to keep reading, and then you shall have a blog.

I would buy a small car to save money for something I do want. Car's aren't a good example. Since they pretty much suck. The only way I would EVER spend my money on my dream car is if I had enough money to throw it away. I'd much rather get memories from things like travelling, or spending the money on a trampoline, or a thousand trampolines. (Imagine a yard consisting of only trampolines.)

Anyway, I shall help your blog flourish. Just make it awesome, k? =D

  4. *Then by all means, Amanda, go out and plant atleast a flower. Or go get one that's partially grown and make it grow bigger!! =P
*I remember you Christian =P And the insult =P But don't worry about that. It was actually really interestingn. Thanks for the wee bit of advice and your thoughts. I've never had a blog before. So I"m kinda excited. ^^
*I love having someone like you around, Fin. You always know what to do. Thank's ^^

  6. But on the flip side...there are the people who have huge, expsensive cars, that once they buy it, say they don't have any money to do what they really wanted. Or the people who have real gardens, but pay other people for the work - they just want the beauty. Or the people that instead of even taking the time to get cheap pet food, they give their pet away.

    Isn't your alternative better?

To answer your last question, we're human. God knew, after Eve sinned, what we would do - that we would fall from the path. That's why he sent Jesus, and created forgivness. And that's why when it seems your friend has sold out on you, you wait for them. Because you're going to want someone waiting for you when you do the same.

    I love you uberly =)
Zoodlely noodlely poodle...you get my drift =)

This is exactly the kind of conversations we used to have, I feel as though I know your point of view and it is great. Someone who finally is not afraid to ask the hard questions, this is why your writing is so inspiring, it really made me stop to think how many times I've done something like this, thank you for sheding light on this topic!
